TED Can Change Your Internet Life: 100 Websites You Must See

ted webandrank to 100 website.thumbnail TED Can Change Your Internet Life: 100 Websites You Must SeeI have been a keen follower of TED since I discovered them at University. My friend recommended to me TED (technology entertainment design) talks, which are ‘riveting talks by remarkable people, free to the world’. There tag line ‘ideas worth spreading’ I think sums up the philosophy of this organisation. I have watched many of these talks and been absolutely blown away by some of the ideas and research people are putting out there. For example, did you know that there are 6 ways mushrooms can save the world? If you didn’t, watch the Paul Stamets talk and I guarantee it will blow your mind.

I think institutions such as TED and Wikipedia are what keep the essence of the internet alive. It is genuine, free, original and interesting content. Content that hasn’t been manufactured for search engines or to appease accountants. I was just browsing the ted.com site and came across a massively interesting talk, it is an interview with Julian Assange the creator of WikiLeaks. WikiLeaks has released more classified material in the last few years than the rest of the world’s media combined, amazing!

I suggest that TED really knows what they are talking about; they have put together a list of 100 websites that can improve your Internet experience. They are not ranked but have been put into categories:
